About Discount Calculator
A percentage discount subtracts part of the original price. This tool gives you both side of the deal at a glance: the cash saved and the sale price, so you can quickly compare offers.
Retailers sometimes stack additional coupons or apply tax after the discount. Always check which number they are applying the percentage to, and add any applicable taxes to the final price on the checkout page.
Features
- Original price, discount %, amount saved and final price
- Quick preset buttons for 10/20/30/40/50/70% off
- Interactive slider with live values
- Works with any currency
Frequently asked questions
A 50% discount followed by a 50% discount is not free. Why?
Each discount applies to the current price, not the original one. 50% off 100 makes 50, then another 50% off 50 makes 25, not 0.
Does it include taxes?
No. Taxes are added to the final price if applicable. Use the GST Calculator to compute tax on the discounted value.
How do I find the original price if I only know the discounted price and the percent off?
Use the percentage calculator in "X is Y% of what" mode, taking the discounted price as X and (100 minus discount percent) as Y.
