PDF Splitter
Split a PDF into separate pages, or extract a specific range of pages into a new PDF.
How to use PDF Splitter
- Upload the PDF you want to split. The tool will count its pages automatically.
- Choose whether you want every single page as its own file, or whether you want to extract a page range.
- Click Split PDF. When it finishes you can either download each file individually or Download all at once.
About PDF Splitter
The PDF Splitter builds a new, independent PDF for the pages you want instead of simply cutting the byte stream, which means each output file is self-contained and readable even if it is only a single page long. For "every page" mode it produces one PDF per source page. For "range" mode it produces a single PDF containing exactly those pages, inclusive.
Like every PDF tool on this site, splitting runs in your browser. The original file never leaves your machine.
Features
- Split into individual pages or extract a custom range
- Automatic page count so you know the valid range
- One-by-one downloads plus a "Download all" button
- Zero uploads — everything happens in-browser
Frequently asked questions
How do I split out several non-consecutive pages?
Use range mode once per group of pages you want, or combine the splitter with the merger: split to individual pages, then merge back only the ones you need.
The page range says it is invalid — what am I doing wrong?
The first page of any PDF is page 1 and the last page equals the page count the tool detected. "From" has to be ≤ "to" and both must fall inside the document.
Why are the split files sometimes slightly larger per page than the original?
Fonts and shared resources that were used once for the whole document get copied into each of the new PDFs, which slightly increases the sum of the parts. That is a normal tradeoff of self-contained output files.
