About QR Code Generator
A QR code stores information in a pattern of squares that a phone camera can read. This generator creates static QR codes, which hold the content itself. They do not expire, do not depend on our website, and need no account.
Use the SVG when you need to print at any size without losing sharpness, and the PNG for screens and documents. Always test a code before printing it, and keep strong contrast between the code and its background. The code is created in your browser, so what you enter is not sent to a server.

Frequently asked questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. The content is stored directly in the code, so it keeps working as long as it can be scanned. If you later want to change where a code points, you will need to make a new one.
What does error correction do?
It adds redundant data so the code can still be read if part of it is dirty, damaged or covered, for example by a logo. Higher levels recover more but make the code denser, which can be harder to scan at small sizes.
Is it safe to put my Wi-Fi password in a QR code?
The password is stored as readable text, so anyone who scans the code can see it. Only share the code with people you would give the password to.
Why does my PNG size differ slightly from the one I chose?
Each square is drawn with a whole number of pixels so the edges stay sharp. The exact size is shown under the preview.
