About Image Cropper

The Image Cropper cuts away the parts of a picture you do not need. Crop to a square for a profile picture, to 16:9 for a banner, or freely to focus on one subject.

The crop is applied at the image's full original resolution, not the smaller preview you see on screen. Everything runs in your browser, so your images are never uploaded to a server.

Features

  • Free crop or fixed aspect ratios (1:1, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, 3:4, 9:16)

Frequently asked questions

Does cropping reduce image quality?

The pixels inside the crop are kept at their original resolution. Quality only drops if you choose a lossy output format with a low quality setting.

How do I crop to an exact size?

Use the X, Y, Width and Height fields below the preview to set the crop area in pixels.

Can I crop on my phone?

Yes. The crop box and handles respond to touch, and the number fields work as well.
