About Image Resizer

The Image Resizer changes the pixel dimensions of a picture. Use it to fit upload requirements, shrink large photos for the web or prepare images for social media and documents.

Making an image smaller keeps it sharp, while enlarging it cannot add real detail. Everything runs in your browser, so your images are never uploaded to a server.

Features

  • Exact width and height in pixels
  • Aspect ratio lock and 25/50/75/100% presets
  • Output as JPG, PNG or WebP with quality control
  • Live preview and the new file size

Frequently asked questions

What does locking the aspect ratio do?

It keeps the width-to-height proportion fixed, so changing one value updates the other and the image is not stretched or squashed.

Does resizing reduce file size?

Usually yes. Fewer pixels means a smaller file, especially when combined with a lower quality setting.

Is there a maximum size?

Images up to 25 MB are accepted, and the output can be up to 12,000 pixels on each side, within browser memory limits.
